Research Focus

Her research centers on consumption patterns: how spending differs across Indian states, and how income, poverty, literacy, women’s participation in the economy, and sector shifts explain those differences. Related papers study agriculture, the growth of the tertiary sector, and social infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh. Summaries are on the Research page.

How This Research Shapes the Site

Poverty, economic reforms, rural development, and human capital are chapters in Class 11 Indian Economic Development. They are also themes in Dr. Shrivastava’s published work. That research informs the examples, data, and common-mistakes sections in the chapter pages here.

Why This Website Exists

This is a free educational resource. It offers no classes, coaching, consultation, or paid services. Dr. Shrivastava created it so that clear, accurate, syllabus-aligned Economics explanations are available to every student, whatever their family can spend on education. Every chapter is reviewed and approved by her before it is published. Read more about how this site works, or browse Class 11 and Class 12 Economics in the Economics hub.
